Re: TERMINATOR: March 28th
I'd be up for it. If someone is going to dunk em let me know and I'll send over one of my jackets and help you with the cost of the die or vice versa.
Re: TERMINATOR: March 28th
Won't work for me. I am in the middle of tax season. I won't have anything to budget for this until april now.

What about a team cap or cloth? Everything I have is ACU digital.

Donknottz wrote:Ok, Hunter tells me that we should be working as a team for the event so we probably won't be split up. I think we should try to figure out something that will identify us as a team but doesn't require us to get matching uniforms. He also passed on some details about the event.
The first event is determining the two leaders of the human resistance. Everyone with a pistol and holster will be entered into the quick-draw contest; With guns holstered and the chamber empty, eligible players will be facing off one by one at a distance of fifteen paces. Think that's cool? A high speed camera will be capturing the shoot-offs in slow-motion for post game analysis! The last two standing in the brackets will be considered leaders of the two resistance factions who will be working together to destroy Skynet.
The first mission: locate and acquire your gear while avoiding Terminators on the field! Teams will be sent out one by one, hopefully to return and put points up next to their name and faction!
What about face paint patterns it's easy and cheap and we could all vote on a design for it?

Re: TERMINATOR: March 28th
I like the embroidered idea minus the beanie only because it should be pretty warm in a couple of weeks. I actually picked up my black cap at walmart for like three dollars. What if we got that embroidered?
I do like the idea of matching face paint. That is another good and less permanent option.
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned matching friendship bracelets. How about we all wear those giant sunglasses that troopers wear. My code name for the event is now Estrada.

Heck yeah, I'm painting up for this one for sure.
I canvassed the Logan DI, they had several items in woodland. $6 shirts, $8 tousers.

Re: TERMINATOR: March 28th
Alright well
I was thinking something simple for the face paint patterns, Maybe some type of bright color running diagonally across our faces or maybe black from the corners of our mouths a few inches back? haha, who's seen LOTR? I say we have the yellow hand of Eli!
Nothing to snazzy, just something noticeable.

I shall show my age and ask.. What the heck is LOTR? Face paint is cool with me. The cap as well.

Ugh... Sigh ... Rolling my eyes.... Perhaps something a little less geeky. Just a thought though.
Re: TERMINATOR: March 28th
Hunter's posted up a podcast on airsoftica.com which covers a few things we may find pertinent.
http://www.airsoftica.com/airsoft/airsoftica-podcast-4-terminator.html
What I got from the podcast:
What we already know about captain selection, quick draw with high speed cameras.
Player insertion by drop ship: misplaced gear, scattered over AO. gear tagged by players. sidearms allowed. primary weapon is out until recovered.
ammo will be tag redeemable much like our 'lost' loadouts , food: play through lunch, no breaks. Bring stuff you can eat on the move.

Re: TERMINATOR: March 28th
Hmmm, not that I don't have faith in Hunter, but that podcast makes me think that this thing hasn't been completely planned out. Or at least it sounds like the rules are not set in stone yet for the scenarios. Should still be fun. I do like taking on the challenge of just running around with my pistol. Plus I plan to practice 30 minutes every day on my quick draw skills. Thanks for the update Andrew.
Re: TERMINATOR: March 28th
Well hopefully that it's not a cold day... Those of us who use gas pistols will be throwing our pistols at the bad guys.
Re: TERMINATOR: March 28th
Hmm this makes me want to play horrible like, this sound's like a blast. The fact about stashing everyones gear and stuff sounds really fun, but eli without his m14/ghillie isn't much to worry about, im thinking i'll get picked off quite a few times befor I get my stuff together.
Oh well, this will be great!
And scott I think everyone thouroughly agrees with the idea of the " YELLOW HAND OF ELI!" Sounds powerful, eh? Haha, just messing around I had a bad experience with lead based paint and LOTR symbols..

Cool. I, too, have been practicing my quick draw. I hope one of y'all actually can do it quickly! I think it is time to combine a close encounter stance with a two shot quick kill technigue. (Sounds good doesn't it)

Re: TERMINATOR: March 28th
I do like that they aren't hiding our gear. Instead you go get something that is hidden on the field and return it to get your stuff. No lost gear = happy players.
