Re: Castle of Chaos 12/18/10
Wish I had one. I think I'll get one this January. They make a full face version that you wear goggles over for those who are interested. One note, they cover your ears as well so headsets will be a little bit of a pain.

Those TMC mesh face masks are going to pay for themselves this weekend. I'm bending the piss out of mine so I can get a better cheek weld with it.
exactly- your getting blasted anyways, and like anyone coming to this is going to peel of the goggles mid game- if they do their asking for it.
yeah those masks rock!
reid: we could figure out something for ya. you have that neoprene at least yeah?

nope. I tried that a couple games and it caused so much fog I threw it away. I have my balaclava so I'll be fine. Cost of playing the game and all.

I wonder if just having a shemaugh would count as long as you kept it over your mouth.

Tacticalairsoftsupply sells these: http://www.tacticalairsoftsupply.com/shop/wire-half-mask-in-khaki.html
Maybe that Ajax cat would bring one along for you if messaged and properly compensated?

Good times yesterday. Wish more of y'all could have made it. 55 people showed up and the maze was insane!
Let me also make a comment about BOE now that I have seen them in the field. They are definitely more hard core as a group than we are. Having said that allow me to also state that they were great folks I would have no qualms about running with again. They did a super job keeping tempers cool in an environment that is conducive to strong emotions.
Shame that only 5 of us were privileged enough to attend! We have lots of epic stories that y'all will have to drag out of us.
Hahahahahahahaha!(evil laugh)

Re: Castle of Chaos 12/18/10
the stories of boe are few and far between. when they do happen, it's kind of a wtf moment. i've only ever witnessed any of it once though and still jump at the chance to attend a boe op. and that one was a valid point (no gunbag in a very public place).

Cool cool. I look forward to playing with them, then. I wish I could've gone to this one, but my face was kinda swollen from getting my wisdom teeth out.

I'd agree- B.O.E. are very hard core, but i can't wait til the next event! there were some dicks among the crowd, but the B.O.E. command handled those douche-bags well.
As to the event: great people, place, food, and gaming. You guys should definitely make the next one!

Rad and Ajax were very personable in particular, and meeting these gents was a pleasure. The game itself was loads of fun, although playing in such close quarters is still something I'm not quite used to. I found myself hesitating with shots that would normally be considered unsafe, but were well within the rules for this event. My adversaries had no such reservations . Bottom line is the game was certainly worth going to.
