Re: sniper
I've been looking at the druganov and liked it alot but its out of stock. I saw it 2 or 3 months ago and still was out of stock. I might take you up on the barret 50 cal. Though Im not getting my paycheck til the end of may and I still need to work for a while longer to get that 200 bucks. But If you need 200 bucks now then just see off to someone because Im only 13. I dont just get money off my parents nor do I have a real job.
If I do get the 280fps sniper, Would I get the m170 spring with the steel spring guide or do I need all the rest. It would increase my power then I'd have to by the tightbore barrel and I wanted a scope also with my sniper and .3 bbs so I'd spend about 250 bucks on that. I still wish they had better selections.

Re: sniper
one thing i have learned: if you want a Great gun you WILL have to spend more money, if you want a good gun you will spend less and a crap gun is way less than that. So if you really want a Great sniper rifle, you will almost definitely be spending in the upward price ranges.... food for thought....
Re: sniper
I have a $20 bag of .3 bbs that I could throw in with the barret, its 4-5k rounds, and with a non AEG sniper that'll probably last you years. The nice thing like I said about the barret is it already has a tight bore, just not a SUPER TIGHT tight bore. I am willing to hold onto it for ya for awhile, and I could prob bring it to a game so you can have a look at it. In the mean time I posted a pic of it awhile back on the latest aquisitions thread, so you can look at it there.

How so? unless it is a JG airsoft gun or something.... all of the TOP brands i have seen are 180+ dollars usually 200+ $...
Re: sniper
I bought a "TOP" Brand gun and it has been nothing but a headache. Where as Andrew bought a CYMA AK for $100 which is arguably one of his best guns.

I bought a "TOP brand" gun which has been nothing but a headache and a money drain. Andrew bought a couple CYMA AK's for $100 bucks each and I would argue is one of the better out of the box guns I have played with.
Knock yerself out in buying a brand name gun. If you have the money or can get your dad to buy it for you. I wish you luck.

Re: sniper
haha, Im fine wiht my ak-74 and yes it is a cyma and shoots better then most Aegs (395fps) I love that thing though i need some accuracy on it so I need to get a better barrel.

Re: sniper
As far as performance goes I agree with scott. In fact I recently learned that my JG, Well, and Echo1 AEG's all came with better motors and bigger springs than my G&G. They also came with batteries. As far as the bodies of the guns, I lean the other way. My JG had a partial metal body and fell all apart. Even the metal parts are crap. The metal is so soft/brittle, that many of the threads stripped, and one of the metal "bolts" actually broke in two! The G&G also came with a tight bore.
In my opinion it is easier/cheaper to upgrade your internals than one piece at a time replace your entire exterior. That is why I went with the G&G. Even with the stock internals I think the G&G can stand up pretty well to the cheaper guns, probably because of the tight bore I guess.
I personally think that the G&G combat machine is one of the best deals out there. High quality parts, and the reciever, even though it is plastic, looks like it is fiber reinforced and much thicker and more durable than the crappy ones on some of my guns. And there is basically no barrel wobble, one of my biggest problems with plastic recievers.
You can get the G&G m4 for $140 and the M16 for $170, and that is before Reids discount! He's saved me a ton on my evike orders! My G&G is $260 and he got it for me for $219!!!!!! Holy crap!!!

Re: sniper
when I get a gun though I play with it for years, unlike Epic who buys a new gun every month. If you get bored with one type and want to move onto the next very often, then by all means, get the cheaper ones. If you buy a gun and plan on using it heavily for years, get a nice body and upgrade internals as they go out on you.

Re: sniper
no, I wasnt trying to prove you wrong. I think getting a kwa is a good move. Its about the only pre upgraded gun with a great external on the market. I almost wish I had gotten the kwa instead of the G&G. It comes with the tight bore and everything. Great gun.

Re: sniper
Let's bring this back to step one. Are you looking for a spring sniper? If you are then the next question is body style and weight. The Barrett is cool I will admit. Personally, what do you prefer?

Re: sniper
If you're looking for a AEG that can work as a sniper weapon, I'd recommend the g-3. I don't have much knowledge of the different spring sniper rifles, despite using one.

Try it out in person at the shop if at all possible. You may or may not like how it handles.
