1/30/2010 @ Dry Canyon, meet at Lee's in Smithfield 9:30

My brothers birthday is on jan 29th and he is getting a JG ak 47. He wants to have a game on the 30th. We are playing in a canyon by smithfield. We are meeting at the Lee's in smithfield at 9:30 and playing at ten. Everyone is welcome to come.

Game play will be pretty basic, two team shoot em up, maybe some capture the flag, VIP, defend the base, etc.

We could play in Mendon, its pretty fun.

Sounds GREAT! Ill will almost definitely be able to come. Ya, out there in Mendon is the only spot i can think of right now. Ill bet other guys know some good spots.

K, Ive decided we will play in a gravel pit near green canyon. There are trees, bushes, sagebrush, grass, lots of big and little hills, and a cliff type place where it would be awesome to play a D-Day type game, if we have enough people.

The best way to get there is to get on 16th E and go to the turn off for green canyon but dont go East yet, then go one more block north, then turn east. You'll run right into the gravel pit. I recommend this route if you have 4x4. If you dont, its closer to drive up and park near the electrical station at the mouth of green canyon and just walk straight north.

Give me a call if you have any questions or have a hard time finding it. I will have my truck and can come help people. I will also bring a tow strap in case anyone gets stuck.

oh sweet! ya i know exactly where you are talking about. Should be a GREAT time. Are you going to have like table or a truck bed or something to set all of our stuff up on? Oh ya, i will probably bring a few friends with me. the d-day scenario sound way cool and fun, especially at the place we are going.

Yes, I will bring my truck, and if you think its a good idea, I can bring a table and even some chairs. Anything else anyone thinks we should bring?

I dont think we need chairs, but a medium size or large table would be very nice to set all our stuff on.

ya there is still snow but it is still WAY fun to play airsoft games in, you should come!

ok well heres the thing i live down south ha in clinton so im trying to decide which one to go to up in logan or down here in layton.

Good point, I did see the zombie hunter game for Saturday. But I am going to the Logan game already, of coarse. It's a real nice spot for airsofting, the gravel pit is. There are trees loads of hills, lots of little mounds and little bunker type things, very fun spot.

So is the gravel pit public land? I would think that some company owns it and we wouldn't have access.

I believe it is owned by LeGrand Johnson Construction. We've played their lots of times and never had any issues. I doubt they would give permission if asked, due to liability issues, however unofficially Im sure they could care less, as long as no one is destructive.

My friend asked the guy that owns this place a while back and he said that it is OK. Oh, and caleb, i can give you a ride, its that far at all too, so ya ill give you a ride.

Good to know, Christian. Thanks. I just got my new battery in the mail today, so Im way excited. Now I just have to rewire my gun, and I'll be ready to go! and decide what camo Im going to wear, and add some new color to get it to blend better. I cant decide if I should wear my full ghillie suit. I guess I can bring it and wear it if I want to.

i had no idea you had a full gillie, that's SWEET. Ya, i really want to try to get this MP5 that i have been wanting by saturday. Ill probly use it was a back up of let my dad use my M4 and ill use the MP5, that is if i get the MP5 in time...
