New Team Name

Not to detract from the original Wolf name but since we have decided to go with German Flecktarn camo, should we choose some type of german team name? The German special forces are called the Kommando SpezialKraefte, or KSK. I suggest that we take this name on, or just KSK for short.

The structure of KSK from Wikipedia:
The fighting units are divided into four commando companies of about 100 men each and the special commando company with veteran members, taking supporting tasks. Each of the four commando companies has five specialized platoons:

1st platoon: land insertions
2nd platoon: airborne operations
3rd platoon: amphibious operations
4th platoon: operations in special geographic or meteorological surroundings (e.g. mountains or polar regions)
5th platoon: reconnaissance, sniper and counter-sniper operations
Command Platoon

There are four commando squads in every platoon. Each of these groups consists of about four equally skilled soldiers. One of each group is specially trained as weapons expert, medic, combat engineer or communications expert respectively. Additionally a group can contain other specialists, e.g. heavy weapons or language experts.

Since we are not involved in airborne or amphibious operations, we would take on platoons 1, 4, and 5 as our numbers grow. This seems pretty organized but I think that it would be fun and add more realism to what we are doing.

This is just my input, what does everyone else think?

Funny, I just realized that Lone Wolf, the originator of team Wolf, is leaving on a mission to Germany. How fitting is it that we chose German Flecktarn

I think that this is funny because i was thinking the same thing but didn't want to bring it up just yet cause I am just the new kid on the block. What else is funny is that i was thinking about the same name. I am on board. Now we just need to get some more members.

Are the friends you will be bringing on Saturday going to join with us?

Hurrah für Deutschland!!! I'm all for renaming the team to the KSK...especially since platoon #5 is a sniper/counter sniper group....my personal choice. Although I won't be in flecktarn this Saturday, I hope to see you all there.

No worries about the flecktarn. It will be good to have some numbers representing the Kommandos! I just ordered a flectarn jacket off ebay but I'm not sure it will be here in time.

I am trying to get them to commit to join our team. In all honestly they take forever to make decisions but i think that will all change when they come play this Sat. I really dont see them joining any other group besides ours because i drive them all the time.

and i love the realism of the organization

Is that what you guys want. It's nothing for me to change it on the website. I just need to know for sure. It would also help if I could get all of you info. (see P.I.'s page for an idea of what I need)

buckyboy didn't realize that this thread was old and pretty much dead (he hasn't been on since Kory was here) well i don't think that this is what we were going to go with but i don't know for sure yet.

there is going to be at least 3 more people form hyrum that are going to be leaving on a mission here within the year (me including) so i don't know about organizing a team yet till we get back.

you could just leave it as wolf (or change it to a cooler name) for now and put all the new comers in it till they find a spot elsewhere, just a thought

when you say 'of you' do you mean us in hyrum? cause i heard there is a cauple more out of hyum on there too.

Ulf is the nordic term for wolf. maybe you should consider that. Or Fenrir, if you know norse mythology.

Dude! This is a very old thread... Check the date. Most of those guys if not all of those guys from that team went on LDS Missions.

lol ! - c'est Vrai - but we will all be back soon and i dont like the name 'wolf' so those are good sujestions.
