WE Dragon GBB Empty WE Dragon GBB

Post by Joker Fri Jul 25, 2008 12:52 pm

i have recently given evike.com my patronage once again and have come away from the exchange with a new WE-Tech Dragon GBB pistol.
This is to let others know what i have found to be true so far as i have yet to test its metel in battle.
After cleaning the barrel many times as there was much of a black substance in the barrel, the speed of the gun seems very good, and the accuracy is pretty good. i have noticed that every couple of shots a bb will go wild, but i would say that in speed shooting the 2.5 inch diameter pole in my backyard (about 50 ish feet) that 2.5 out of 4 shots hit the pole, so the accuracy seems to be pretty good overall.
one thing that is anoying has to do with the dragon design, where i have to remove an allen screw to take the slide off the gun.
the hopup is adjustable and seems to work pretty well.
ive been able to get 70 shots out of a full gas shot in the magazine.
one thing, and prolly the thing that most made me want the gun when i tried it at evikes store, is the weight of the pistol and the blow back action, it feels awesome to shoot, i just hope its awesome feeling doesnt cause less accuracy.
ill be playing with it on this saturday and will add to this post at that time.

WE has really made a name for themselves, I love the 1911A1Tactical model of theirs. Not sure if you're new to GBB's or not, but keep a little gas in the mags when storing to keep the seals tight and lubed.

*edit* haha Doug you changed your callsign! Didn't realize this was you till I checked the profile. How was the Evike storefront?

i am new and will let my bros that bought guns to know the same. And as far as the callsign goes, either one is fine for me. And the evike store is freaking awesome, kinda small cuz it shares the warehouse that they do their online shipping from, but all their guns are available to see, hold, and test fire up on the walls. truthfully, i didnt want to get the gun till i test fired it. also i have a question about using propane versus green gas, which would you suggest, im starting to lean towards propane since ive almost emptied my green gas can and i would like to have easy access to new gas should i need it, but i dont want to take a performance hit using one or the other.

Honestly the only difference between the two is the presence of silicone lubricant and an inoffensive odor in the green gas. Otherwise green gas IS propane. Most propane adapters come with a small bottle of silicone lube you can add to your mags when they need it, which isn't all that often. The adapters are well worth the $20-30 when you consider how expensive green gas is and how dirt cheap propane cans are.

I use propane with my pistols.... It works just fine. The adapter is a very worth while investment.

alright, the review.
after playing with it.........
i like it. i got 3 kills with it during the game, and while the distance leaves me wanting for more, thats what my M4 is for. now i cant wait to try it out with propane as on friday i ordered the adapter. if you guys have any specific questions about performance of the gun, dont hesitate to ask and ill try and supply an answer.
