So the 6day forecast puts this coming Saturday in a nice little gap in the snow, partly cloudy with high of 42. For the moment anyhow. Who'd be game for playing after 12pm when stuff's a little warmer? I'm betting the gate's closed already, we will need to hike the 3/4 mile to the field, so be prepared for that. otherwise let's call it:

Meet at the Smithfield Lee's parking lot at 12:30pm, leave for DC10 at 12:45pm
play till 4, 5pm or till too tired wet cold to move.
Drive through Starbucks for hot cocoa.

I do believe I can make that. We can mitigate the walk by centering play around the dam and tank area.

I say we don't hike it. If we have a 10 size group there is an alright area to play at the fence. Not great for lots of maneuvers, but building up a field with a bit of shovel work would be fun. I might come early to set up for that. Spend as much energy as walking to the field.

You guys would only have to hike is the gate is locked.... Has it been locked for the season yet?

The fence is indeed closed but the road to there is easy. Room to park a few cars at the gate and a spot for some more just down from that. I suggest car pool since there may already be vehicles there.
