CVA organization patch concepts
I had a few minutes while at work today, and I started thinking about patches. In particular for CVA as a whole to set us apart as an organization from the others in the region. I guess you could call this my first draft:
The crossed muskets are usually associated with infantry or combat MOS, and that's supposed to be a Cougar's paw print there denoting our sneaky deadliness, and certainly not any affiliation with BYU.
After getting home I took it a step further using the magic of MS Paint. I cain't photoshop my way out of a paper bag.
Tried a circle patch and tab, and then played with a bear and swords. What do you think? All suggestions on emblems or etc etc will be greatly appreciated. My intent is very much to eventually get these put into thread for us to wear on the glorious field of battle!

Of the two i like the bear as just being more distinct in outline. Frankly, i wouldn't know a cougar print if one stepped on my face

That's a good point, I can see us having to explain to everyone we meet what the hell that print thing is. That would detract alot of the cool...
That and working the muskets in while having them look like muskets...

I can help you photoshop those when it comes down to it. Probably use Illustrator actually but those are all great ideas. I can't to see a subdued patch made up for us all.
Re: CVA organization patch concepts
I think I prefer the shield. Muskets are good. Perhaps we could . . . wait I have had an epiphany. Here is my very quick idea awaiting your improvements. Then I just had to make another one because I saw what I created, and it was terrible. So I made a better looking one.
Re: CVA organization patch concepts
Allow me to just say...I want one of each. What about bringing the shotgun down so that both buttstocks are at the same level. I also put this together real quick...
Help, how do i get my photoshop on here?

Save you image as a .jpg or something then use a host service like photobucket. Copy and paste the image link. Hope this helps. If you can't get it to work email it to me and i'll upload it in the morning.

hmmm... i'll worry about the tech end more later. y'all can see what i'm trying to do. I layered the letters so that they can be moved around. I was also try to get the gun to rotate, etc for placement. I'll go with whatever y'all decide, I just don't think the patch has to be militarized to be cool.

ok. let's see if this works. what i was trying to do (and failing) was to put the photo of the weapon next to CVA. for you photoshop folks each letter is a layer with the order of C V A. not sure how to get the gun on top as a transparency, but that was the goal.

Suddenly we're cooking with gas. Pretty much what I was thinking. Can the letters be made transparent to see the weapon bodies underneath?

For some reason I really like the idea of a pentagonal patch

Indeed, have a happy birthday Harper.
I thought the pentagon would make a good arm patch. I'm not sure about the "xtreme airsoft" I saw that it made and x and couldn't think of any way to use it.
