MP5 SD Barrel Replacement

Post by Delta on Sat Apr 18, 2009 12:14 am

I just ordered a new barrel for my CA MP5 and was wondering how difficult it will be to replace. If you know of a link where I can see a guide that would be great. I haven't been able to find much on it so far, and by what I've seen it looks like I may have to take apart the whole gun. Anyone have any ideas?

You won't need to take apart the lower receiver for the CA the way they do for the TM MP5. Remove the body pins and the stock pin, stock will pull off and the lower receiver which houses the gearbox will pull straight back. Depending if it's an early version CA you may need to disassemble the upper receiver and cocking tube to get to the hop-up and inner barrel which will be held in place to the right side of the reciever.

I believe with the B&T version the barrel and hopup will fall straight back out of the receiver without disassembling it. I hope this helps, and good luck Very Happy

Thanks for the help. I got the barrel today and it went in just fine. I hope it will improve my accuracy, we will see on Saturday.
