Help!! I need a part Empty Help!! I need a part

Post by reidc Sun Nov 14, 2010 1:47 pm

For those who don't know I traded a part Jordan needed for a non-working Cyma 030 Glock pistol.
After spending hours breaking it down, checking all the electrical contacts and determining that power was flowing properly I got it all back together. After reassembly I found the point at which a mechanical action actually closed the circuit to allow it to fire. With downward finger pressure on that part the gun would fire with every trigger pull and could be manipulated to ensure it worked full auto as well.
I was 7-8 minutes away from having it working and reassembled when disaster struck. The part is made of pot metal and needed to bend slightly down to make the needed contact. Instead of bending it snapped!!!
If anyone has a non functional Cyma 030 they would like to sell please let me know!
Thanks for your sympathy in my time of loss.

Thought about that. The problem is that you can't lengthen it and have it work and there is no room to widen it at all and still move freely to operate. my eyes are still red from the uncontrolled sobbing that took place when it broke (died).

I'll get some on this evening. I'll also take apart the other one so you can see what it should look like.

He still has the rest of that pistol somewhere. Or did you get the part that broke from him?

Not that I know of. I've never heard of anyone, outside of a factory, welding pot metal at any rate.

if you can bring it to the riverwoods in logan tomorrow, i'm pipefitting the apartments to the west. one of my welding instructors used to work at vector arms. he's good enough to weld together 2 pieces of aluminum foil. if he can't weld it, it can't be done.

No can do although i appreciate it. Since I'm only working 3 days this week I have to make sure everything is done before I leave. If you're in town next week I wouldn't mind dropping it off and seeing what he says.
