hey guys i have a question for yall. im looking into either putting a mosfet in my kwa mk36c or adding a silencer with a longer tight bore, it already has a 6.04 245 in it but i was thinking of putting about a 300 or so with the silencer but want to know what yall think.
i was thinking something like this

Re: G36
depending which suppressor you go with you might even be able to go with a 370mm barrel and bring the barrel's end right up to the edge of the suppressor.
With the G36C it's already pretty tight in the handguard for batteries. I've gone through 3 G36c's myself, they're so sexy, but eventually I'm always discouraged by the lack of battery capacity in there. A mosfet could detract even further from the available space in the handguard. The concept of mosfets is sorta lost on me anyway.

Re: G36
Yeah I was thinking that I think a 370 would make it ti the front of the silencer. I think the one I want is about 150mm long so I think about 6 inches and since I use 8.4 to 9.6 minis the mosfet would have enough room just don't know what would be better ha

Re: G36
the only reason i see for a mosfet is to limit for 3 round burst, though i've only found on the web fets that change the single to 3 round instead of the auto. i'd rather mod the "spray and pray" setting to 3 round. the silencer looks good, i say get that longer barrel, metal hop, and a bow tie hop nub.

Re: G36
yeah i was thinking the barrel and the sliencer first now im not sure if my gun will need a metal hop up system i have a kwa mk36c and from what i can tell its made pretty well but yet again i havent owned other aegs Bishop dont you have a lot of g36s? if i should upgrade the hop and nub what would you recommend?
also this it the mosfet im looking at and i do believe you can program it to set 3 round burst on full auto

Re: G36
I would def go for the barrel and silencer. Besides making your gun look incredibly sexy, it would be great for your accuracy and range. I love my 509mm 6.04 in my G&G M16 A3. Go for as long a barrel as you can.
Other than the three round burst I dont see much point in the mosfets either. Def not worth $85, in my opinion. You can do three round bursts without it. Its called Trigger Control.
Get your silencer from weaponblender. They have $5 flat rate shipping, and a sweet 150mm silencer for $20. Plus you can grab your 6.03 tight bore from them for $30. Brings your total to only $55!

Heres the link for the supressor.

SRC makes a metal hopup unit:
http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=27860
It's made for the SRC G36's. It'll fit into the KWA, might have to modify a bit.
Also look into the madbull shark buckings, red type:
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=4177
If you're not ordering from ASGI anytime soon, this'll save you on shipping for about the same price.

Do suppresors even do anything? Besides make it longer and more accurate, like does it sound suppress? If it doesnt its a waste of money

Re: G36
If you decide to do an inner barrel extension it protects your protruding barrel, and yes, it does make a distinguishable difference at quieting your gun. Enough so that nobody can hear you fire on full auto? No, but if you fire slowly on semi, depending on your gun, you significantly increase the chance that nobody will hear you, even the person you are shooting at. It will not quiet your gun if you do the inner barrel extension though.

Re: G36
so is the JB Unicorn brand good on barrels or does the brand not really matter?
@panzerfaust i understand the need for a hop up to put spin on the bb but i guess im still a noob ha what does the bucking do exactly? and do you need to replace it frequently?

Re: G36
Panzerfaust can prob answer this better than I can, but from what I understand the bucking does three important functions:
1) It is the rubber pad inside the hop up that the bb skims past and actually causes the back spin, known as "hopup".
2) It provides a seal between the air nozzle and the barrel, forcing the bb out and keeping the air from escaping.
3) It has flaps that stop your mag from forcing more than one bb into your hopup/barrel at a time.
Summery: If your hopup bucking is worn out you may have problems with:
Insufficient backspin or "hopup"
Loss of velocity or "fps" do to air escaping places other than the end of your barrel
double feeding (multiple bbs coming out with each shot)

ok cool that makes sense i knew what hopup did on the bb just not how it was performed ha thanks! so would yall recommend changing out the bucking with the new barrel?

Re: G36
i would, they're cheap and you could get one meant for colder weather. you know how utah is. i have a cold weather bucking and a bowtie nub in my g&g m4, and that sucker shoots straight as an arrow.

Re: G36
speaking of your G&G m4, do you have the combat machine version or the full metal version? How do you like it? I just ordered the full metal one for my brother. Did you do any upgrades besides the bowtie nub and bucking?

Re: G36
mine "was" a plastic combat machine. the front pin hole that attaches the upper to the lower busted one day and i swapped on a cnc machined upper from jp rifles. and yes i have lots of upgrades. all the compression stuff, bearings, and torque parts.

Re: G36
Sweet! I'll have to talk to you about the upgrades you most recommend for the G&G's.
Quick question. My G&G stock motot has basically no grab when you spin the pinion gear by hand. My Well M4 has some grab, and my JG has alot more grab. You can tell the magnets are pretty strong. How was your stock motor? My motor is supposed to be a 2500 ultra hi torque motor, and in my opinion its the farthest from. I called evike and they just brushed it off saying that the G&G stock motors are not that great.

Re: G36
i think that you would need to do upgrading to any gun out there unless its a custom gun and even then could need help i think all guns could be improved either by there look or for performance. ha like my kwa is awesome but i did strip out a bevel gear and needed to replace it ha ha i think thats part of the fun of airsoft though isnt it to make your guns sweet lookin and performance dominating? just a thought.

Re: G36
@Epic
I love my G&G. The only guns I have been temped by other than G&G is the Matrix Custom gun (completely matrix) and the KWA. The matrix is nice, great quality exterior and insane internals, but it only comes as a front wired M4, whereas I prefer rear wired M16s or at the least rear wired M4s. The KWA is about the same as the Matrix as far as the internals and externals, but you can get a rear wired m16. The prob is that its $315.
I can get a G&G from Reid for $219 and put almost $100 into it, which would make it just as good or better, and then I get to CHOOSE what goes into it. Plus the G&G has a much better one piece hopup instead of the KWA two piece, it takes standard air nozzles instead of the KWA proprietary ones, and is all around easier to maintain/upgrade.
Just because Bishop put alot of parts into his gun doesnt mean it really needs it. Customizing is just what alot of airsofters enjoy doing. I put an M120 spring, a whisper piston head and cylinder head and a brass air nozzle into my gun. Did it need it? No, in fact im still deciding if I like it now better than how it was stock. As far as my motor, I may have just gotten a lemon, because it is advertised as having a high torque ultra power 25000 rpm motor, and mine is def NOT, and it still pushes my M120 spring, it just wouldnt push an M135.
If you dont mind a front wired gun and you want an m4 anyway, I think the Matrix gun is about as good as you can get for the money($200, full metal). I really wish they made rear wired full stock M4s and M16s. If they did Id prob switch. Until then, Im a G&G guy all the way!

Re: G36
ya, sorry guys, i didn't mean to sound like i was trashing G&G, i think G&G is a superb brand, it just sounded hard to upgrade to me, but that's me. I quite frankly don't have any idea on how exactly to upgrade hardly anything into a gun except a new barrel and hop-up bucking... i found a nice M16 on airsoftmegastore.com. Full metal and a upgraded tight bore, plus, its LiPO ready 2010 version. 390-400fps. looks like a excellent gun.
Re: G36
@Epic:
I have been thinking about you and your dad looking for a new gun, and your choice of the KWA. I think that is an excellent choice that you wont regret. I do have one thought though. As I mentioned above, the Matrix Tactical Systems M4s are prettymuch on par with the KWA, upgraded piston, head, cylinder, gears, wiring, spring. They are both about as close to a REAL "preupgraded" gun as they come, for less than $500.
Since you already use all small type batteries, and are partial to the smaller, shorter guns (P90, M4, Mini AK) I think the Matrix would be as good of a choice as the KWA, and save you money. I think the KWA basic M4 runs $295, whereas the Matrix is $200. Go through Reid and you'll save even more, between 10-20%.
Either choice is a good one for someone who wants suppurb durability and performance without getting their fingers greasy.

Re: G36
thanks for the input Jordan, i really appreciate it. Im still looking into gun and have not decided on one yet... I will definitely keep the matrix in mind.
Re: G36
keep in mind, alot of upgrades aren't for higher fps, but for consistency, accuracy, and durability. tb barrel, bucking, and nub are all for accuracy, whereas nozzle, bearings, and piston head are for consistency so your fps doesn't jump around. full metal toothed pistons are for durability, since all those upgrades are gonna chew those teeth up pretty good. my g&g originally had a 1 tooth, the last gb inernal upgrade i did was swapping in a 4 tooth. even with my huge list of parts which on top of all those includes spring, torque motor, and torque gears, that 1 tooth lasted a whole year.
bishop
Re: G36
Yep. That is one of the really nice things about the G&G and the Matrix, is the stock tight bore. Mine came out of the box SUPER accurate. I have a really nice deep fire full metal tooth piston that I plan to swap in once my stock piston goes out, which hopefully wont be for a long time since my spring upgrade wasnt huge. I put in a torque motor which I dont think I really need, because the stock motor seems to do just fine, but I had it laying around, so what the heck.
Tight bores on the KWA are a bit of a gamble, because I think they are 6.05 +/- .03, which means you could get a 6.02, which would be sweet! Although youd have to keep your barrel nice and clean, or you could get a 6.08, which would totally suck.
