My aeg

my aeg is 395 fps last chronoed. On Full charge it shoots 75yard exactly. On almost empty charge, (barely enough juice to pull the trigger) it shot exactly 63 yards. Is my Aeg preforming good or bad? Is my range finding average for a 400fps gun? It seems to not be preforming as well as it was.

have you fiddled with your hop-up? 75 yards on no hop-up isn't bad.

yeah I've fiddled with my hopup, thats with my hopup addjusted, when its not addjusted its goes 51yards. I forgot to include that hopup was adjusted

75 yards is 225 feet. That is 3/4 of a football field. That is plenty of range for most fields that we play on.

Agreed. Thats pretty dang good range for an AEG. At that range you need to worry more about increasing your accuracy than getting more distance. Do you have a tight bore barrel? I think my G&G 6.04 makes a pretty big difference, and you can get one from Reid for $27, and I think they are even 6.03mm.

Maybe a new hopup bucking in addition to the tightbore and you should be golden. Make note, adding a tightbore will mess with your FPS a little. If you can handle that, it'd be a good upgrade.

ok, I did something wrong. My gun has a max range of 83 yards. just kinda a rough measurement. I mearsured ten paces of mine. (3 yards and 1 foot) So I rounded to the 3 yards. I forgot about it. So its 83 yards with ok accuracy. I Might take the upgrade but I'd probably just get heavier bbs.

No I've been to a game in the past 3 weeks, though I cant make it for another 3 weeks. I did mine on a wensday. No its not backyard airsoft its super tactical awesome airsoft. But yes I plan on coming soon

Hey, I've been thinking.... I think we should arrange to do a presentation for the ROTC. Get the guys with the best uniforms and loadouts and guns (like Andrews SAW) and try to recruit some new CVA members!

If we can get a hold of Travis we could maybe talk to the police academy. He was trying to line up a game with the Logan SWAT team but that never panned out.

As far as the ROTC boys we have been trying to work that angle. I'm leaving that to Fred and Marcel mostly. The problem is that the USU ROTC just bought all new Paintball stuff so I doubt that they will make a change to Airsoft. At least not this year. They apparently, recently borrowed Airsoft stuff from the BYU ROTC and had a positive experience. It would be fun to run OPFOR for them for sure.
