AEG spring upgrade
So at last saturdays game I finally got to chrono my new G&G gun and it came out shooting 315-325 with .23's. I was pretty disapointed. So I went home and threw in a spring that I had laying around. When I pulled the trigger for the first time afterwards it spooled up but never released, as if the spring was to long or something. So I took it apart and cut two loops off. Put it back together and still nothing. So I took out two more loops and tried again. It shot until I took my finger off the trigger, then wouldnt shoot again. I figured maybe my battery was running low, so I swapped in a fresh one and still nothing. I was about to take it all apart again (I can now take my gun apart pretty fast) and cut more loops out when I decided just for the heck of it to swap motors with my old broken JG. It now works like a charm!! While I was in there I also installed a whisper piston head and cylinder head. I am very excited to try it out on some of you guys!!
Moral of the story, G&G's come with the wimpiest motors I've ever seen. My Well, my JG, and my Echo1 all have much better motors. So If you are going to throw in a bigger spring and the same thing happens, before you start cutting your spring down make sure your motor is up to snuff.
