4/17/2010 OpDW2 Russian WarGames

I am formally recommending to my CO, Ninja Scott, that the Russian Assault Forces be deployed in "training exercises" on 4/17/2010. There is no real reason, mostly just to give the troops something to do. It has been so long since the cold war, I fear our comrades in arms may be getting rusty, and should the need arise to defend The Motherland we may be poor tools indeed in Her service, and as the Americans say: "the best defence is a good offense!"

I assure the global community these exercises will be completely harmless. We would even invite our American and Canadian friends, but I fear the journey to far and the weather to cold for their delicate natures. If they feel it would be worth their time to come, we would be more than happy to host them, if they will only bring a small payment of $1000 each to defray training expenses. Good point. I thought of that too, but the prob is if we let others come then we cant talk tactics. I figured we would just take turns being the attackers/defenders.

However if all we need is practise assaulting then we could invite the americans and canadians and just attack them all day. Either way Im good. Then we could talk at the end about what worked and what didn't.

I know you are not big on wasting time talking tactics, but there are some people who are lousy attackers and they dont know why. Most of the time it is because they hunker down when confronted with incoming fire, even if its not even close. On some of these games we will have limited time, which means we need to push hard, even if it means a couple of men get hit and have to run back to respawn. I think these types of things need to be gone over for less experienced players.

I'm going to bring Medic Brian. He will be on a four day pass from his MOB site before he finally deploys to Afghanistan.

I might be able to get at least two others to come along to the game, my brother Peter (who came to my first CVA game with me) and my older brother Nathan, with a possibility of a third.

Are they playing with the russians on the 24th?

they could, but they haven't committed. they aren't affiliated with the other teams, so it shouldn't be a problem if they come to the game.

lets open it up, but have at least a few games where the entire russian team will practice some maneuvers and strategy against an opposing force.
