Did the US use acu in 2004?

Because I just watched Hurt locker and I know that they were still using 3-color in 2003.

Cause I was just wondering.

During that time ACU was being issued to Troops going out on deployments. 3 color is and was still around. Even to this day, some units are sporting the 3 color BDU's, because ACU is crap unless you are in a gravel pit or in heavy sage brush. Recently ACU is starting to slowly faze out by the ARMY and going to MultiCam.
