I've used a WE 1911tac version for about 2 years now. I like the weight and overall feel of the full metal pistol, and I love the way it shoots. Very straight at 320fps.

Downsides are the mags. Holds 15 rounds, but I generally only get 7-9 shots out of a mag before it runs out of gas. The walls on the single stack style mags can also swell if left gassed for too long, making them more difficult to insert and eject from the magwell. The Tokyo Marui 1911 mags are compatible, better quality, and don't suffer from these shortcomings.
I've also had to replace the nozzle, the barrel bushing, and the bb follower in one of my mags. I'm pretty sure I just ended up with a lemon of sorts, the other WE owners I've talked with haven't mentioned any of these sorts of problems with their pistols.

Overall I like the gun, it serves my purposes for a sidearm well.

heh I actually painted mine to look like the second link you posted.
The blowback on the WE is great, you get a nice loud report and the metal slide slams back and returns to battery quickly for follow up shots. The GBB 1911's field strip just like the real deal, and are very easy to clean and maintain, even repair if need be.

I've heard pretty good things about the kjw 1911's too.
here's a few reviews to give you a better idea:

There's not alot of high quality non blowbacks on the market, the exceptions being the Tokyo Marui mk23 and the Maruzen P99. The other brands are pretty inexpensive, generally pretty powerful and gas efficient as all discharged gas is used to propel the bb instead of being routed into a blowback feature. NBB's aren't easily maintained either, as the majority of them aren't built to be easily taken apart. They're great on the wallet though.
They can also be (censored) cool if fitted with a foam filled suppressor. Some guy had a suppressed NBB M92F and I swear the only sound you heard was the BB impacting downrange, not a peep from the pistol itself.
