Communication & Teamwork
James
I am looking to get a radio for communicating with my wonderful teammates. Any suggestions? What brands are people using? I hope that I can set up an administrator channel as well that at the start of a game we can have team leaders on so that we start at the same time and discuss any last minute changes without having to run across the field.

I found an Army Ranger Handbook that has some interesting stuff in it that would perhaps help us to perform better as a team. We already do a lot of this anyway, but it was good for me to review and think about some new ways to do things. Also it would be nice for all of us to be familiar with some of the basics so that when we ask Chuck what formation to move in, he doesn't have to explain it.

77 - Formations
97 - Ambush
115 - Battle drills (We should do some short versions of these where the intent is to practice, not to win)
127 - Entering a room
239 - Quick reference guide
Another note is the use of hand signals. I found a couple of different places, but I still haven't found a handbook version or anything like that.

I really like Mid-lands. Good range and fairly cheap. I can let you check them out if you would like.

Be sure they have sub channels when you buy. This was my folly.

I get a 15% discount at Al's. So I got them there. 22 or 26 mile range (Line of Sight) With all the bells and whistles. I think the pair cost me around 60-70 bucks.
