Zombie Empty Zombie

OK, so this isnt a new idea, im just putting it out there that the way we played zombie last night was way more fun than when we played it the time before, and for all of those who didnt show up, when you got shot you joined the other team, there was no "out", people just kept switching sides. but we need to find a way to be able to distinguish who is on whose team, cuz it got really confusing there at the end. james mentioned arm bands with specific colors on them and im not totally against that. any ideas for telling each team apart?

I think the way we play zombie will really depend on how many people we have at the event. I think we should stick with the policy that if you are shot you aren't back in the game until you get behind a player of the opposing team. If there are more than 6 people playing I think it would be better to play chaos so you can keep track of who is on your team and it encourages more team work and moving as a group. Maybe if you were able to surrender someone in a chaos game they could join your team. You would probably only be able to sneak up or surprise someone like that if you were all alone anyway.

Chaos works. B37 did something along those lines where everyone went out on their own and as you were shot you joined that person/team. Made for a fun game as it allowed everyone the chance to be on any team/combination.

I thought of some changes that might help the game to end eventually, and to add some sort of title to this variant.

Consumption: Players start out on their own and will be dispursed across the field. Whenever a player is shot, they will join the team of the person who shot them. They will walk to that player with their hands up. Once they are behind them and can safely respawn (there isn't a huge firefight going on right there) they can re-enter the game on the new team. If the player who shot them is hit while they are walking towards them, then both players will join the team of the man that shot the first shooter.

Once it is known that there are two formed teams, then the game will change to elimination and once you are hit you are out. Also a time limit of 5-8 minutes will be placed so that hopefully it ends in one epic battle at the end to determine dominance.
