Mauser C96 gas rifle

Post by Dr.funk on Wed Aug 12, 2009 8:08 pm

I have a question, this gun shoots 450 to 500 FPS and it is semiautomatic no full auto. Can it be used? What are the limits for airsoft GAS rifles that are semiautomatic?

If it is a sniper rifle (which if it is shooting that high it should only be used as one) we generally limit them to spring operated. This reduces the tendency for people to shoot multiple painful shots at their target before they have a chance to yell they are hit. So unless it is toned down you can't use it according to our rules.

sounds like money better spent upgrading your bolt action.

no that one is crappy its mags ae braking and they do not sell mags any more and one is cracked and so it will not last me that long but the c96 has a cocking mechanism to so... and its higher performance and is pretty nice.
you can buy more mags!

Unless you can mechanically disable the semiautomatic to where the gun HAS to be cocked with every shot, and show us you've done so, I'm going to say No this gun should not be allowed at CVA events. You want to use it as a bolt action? Buy a bolt action rifle then. It's pretty simple.

But I love my ak 74 and I usualy do not play in winter though. cause its cold and I can not feel the bbs with a coat unless I find somthing warm but not thick.

I agree with what Andrew has said. Unless the semi-auto can be disabled it wouldn't be allowed on the field. I have been with people and tried it myself to just count between shots. When the adrenaline is pumping it is hard to control how long you wait between shots. I hope you don't feel like we are coming down on you, we just want to keep the games as safe as possible.

by the by, the AK 74 was released after the ak 47. Neither of which had anything to do with WW2. The best WW2 gun I've seen so far is the MP44.
