Proposed modification

I have spent a bit of time looking at the market and I am seeing a trend toward faster fps guns both for American production and as retailer 'standard' upgrade packages. With this in mind I propose an increase in FPS field limits to 450 fps for aeg application, and 650 fps for snipers. Having reviewed the post on sniper limits and giving it much thought I feel that the bolt action only, 1 shot per three seconds is too restrictive. There are a plethora of real steel semi-auto sniper rifles ...

Irvine, CA: Boy got shot

Very serious update from MadBull (and Stryke Airsoft). No new products, just news about consequences of stupidity. Be sure to check the full statement under Read. Due to gravity of this news, it will be sticky for day or two:

This is MadBull.

I got a message from Stryke Airsoft. They are located in Orange County, CA.

Play at your own risk

It was wisely brought up that we need to address safety since we are getting a lot of new players. If you haven't looked at the safety section of the forum yet you need to look at the rules. http://cvairsoft.darkbb.com/safety-f1/safety-rules-of-engagement-t16.htm If you are caught not following the rules you will be asked not to come and participate anymore because that puts you and others at greater risk for injury. Plus we just don't like cheaters.

It is especially important that everyone ...

Blind Firing

After a great day of airsoft indoors I thought I would bring a safety issue to everyone's attention. When you point your weapon around the corner and shoot without looking, you are endangering other players. I'm going to add this as a permanent rule in our listings unless someone can convince me otherwise. I would like any changes to be made to our group, especially enforced rules, to be discussed and agreed upon as a whole.

My main concerns for blind firing is people getting unloaded ...

Airsoft vs Teeth

Panzerfaust

It happens, a bb will hit someone in the teeth and teeth will break. It doesn't even take a high velocity spring to produce these results. I've seen cases of a stock aeg knocking out an incisor. It's rare but we need to recognize it's inherent danger. Some people have taken to wearing full face masks to avoid the possibilty, others wear mouth guards. Certain venues requiring insurance will add a balaclava to your list of protective gear to prevent the possibility. I think the ...
