What you have to remember is that the spring is the primary part determining FPS. Other parts play a role such as the air nozzle. A higher volt battery spins your motor faster, the spring however, still has the same compression rating. Will a higher volt battery improve performance? Sure it will. You increase your rate of fire. What it won't do is make your spring stronger than it is. If any seasoned airsofter or retailer told you it would make your gun stronger they are lying and you need to bear that in mind in any future dealings with that person/business.

just got one question andrew is there a way to tighten the selecter swich on a cyma ak 74 yours is sorta like mine. See when ever i go full auto after 10 seconds of shooting the guns shakes the lever back down to semi auto can you tighten yours I am not a airsoft expert and whens the next game I have a fricken scout camp week long next week so...

sure, take a flathead screwdriver and carefully pop off the round button lookin thing on the selector lever. Underneath that will be a large phillips screw. Tighten this down and your lever won't wobble anymore. The button thing should just push back into place.
